Silver Hunting Cased Erotic Automaton

A large early 20^th Century Swiss lever with concealed erotic automaton in a decorative silver full hunter case. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Arabic numerals, blue steel hands. Silver full hunter case, both covers decorated in high relief, the front depicting a bust. The back with floral decoration marked “H Frsl Depose”. Opening the back and silver cuvette reveals a nun, apparently kneeling at prayer, receiving the attentions of a member of the clergy from behind. The scene springs to life when the silver slide in the band is activated.

8 Day Hebdomas in Damascened Gunmetal Case

An early 20^th Century Swiss eight day lever in a decorative damascened gunmetal open face case. Hebdomas type keyless eight day movement with the large resting barrel covering the back of the watch marked “8 Days” in a number of languages. Engraved bridge cock to below the dial, polished steel regulator. Uncut bimetallic balance with overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Signed white enamel dial, gilt Roman numerals in dark blue enamel cartouches, gilt decoration either side of the chapter ring, pierced gilt hands. Gunmetal open face case damascened in silver and gilt floral decoration.

Silver Triangular Masonic Watch

A Swiss lever Masonic watch with mother of pearl dial in a triangular silver case. Circular keyless 15 jewel nickelled bar movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator. Compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Triangular mother of pearl dial with polychrome Masonic symbols in place of the numerals and “Love your fellow man – Lend him a helping hand” below the centre. Pierced blue steel hands in the form of Masonic symbols. Silver triangular case with decoration of a chain around the clip on bezel, blue cabochon set winding crown, triangular bow. Clip on back chased and engraved with a temple and many other Masonic symbols. Inside the back marked “USA patent 66542” and the maker’s mark “GA”.

Rare Zenith Deck Watch with Decimal Dial

A mid 20^th Century Swiss centre seconds lever deck watch with rare decimal dial in a stainless steel case. Gilt three quarter plate keyless going barrel movement with centre seconds transfer work above. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Unusual white centre seconds dial. The longest blue steel hand rotates once a minute indicating on the outer ring marked in bold black Arabic numerals 1 – 10, the chapter divided into one hundred divisions. Within this the minutes marked in red to 60 and a smaller chapter for the hours marked to twelve in black. Blue steel hands for the seconds and hours, a red hand for the minutes. Plain stainless steel open face case with screw back and bezel, marked “Staybrite – Swiss Made” and the Zenith logo below. The back marked with the broad Ministry arrow, stores and serial numbers. “H.S.3” has been struck through with two lines.

A 20^th Century American centre seconds lever by Hamilton in a plain silvered open face case. High quality 22 jewel 4992B model, damascened nickelled split three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel micrometer regulator. Uncut balance with overcoil Elinvar-Exra hairspring. Club foot lever escapement, escape and lever pivots with endstones. Black dial with centre seconds, white Arabic numerals, the outer chapter for the minutes and the inner for twenty four hours, marked “G.C.T.” for Greenwich Civil Time, white hands. Silvered Keystone open face case with screw bezel and plain back.

Set of Timing Chronographs

A set of three centre seconds flyback chronograph timers on a dashboard mount. The three movements of broadly similar construction with nickle plates, plain steel balances with spiral hairsprings and shockproof jewelling. The centre chronograph with a club foot lever escapement. The others with pin pallet. All function in the same way. Depressing the winding crown either starts or stops the watch. Depressing the button at 11 o’clock returns the hands to zero. The centre chronograph’s black hand rotates once a minute, the dial being marked in one hundredths of a minute. The smaller red hand with red Arabic numerals records for sixty minutes. The right hand chronograph is conventionally marked with a subsidiary for thirty minute record. The left hand chronograph’s hand rotates twice every minute. The dial is marked in black Arabic numerals up to thirty seconds and in red of thirty two to sixty seconds. Chromed metal cases with flat grains backs, black plastic crowns and return buttons. Three strong retaining springs are mounted on a substantial chromed plate with screw holes at the corners.
