Signed white enamel dial, Roman numerals, blue steel half hunter hands. Engine turned 18 carat full hunter case, engine turned middle. Unusual gold clip retaining the front hunter cover, small engraved monogram to the central circular cartouche. Clip on back, maker’s mark “AN” in an oval and number corresponding to that on the movement. Unusual gold winding crown and bow.

A rare mid 19^th Century Irish fusee lever in a gold and enamel full hunter case decorated with shamrocks. Gilt three quarter plate keywind movement with fusee and chain, Harrison’s maintaining power. Engraved cock with polished steel regulator, plain three arm gold balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. English table roller lever escapement. Decorative engine turned and engraved gold dial with subsidiary seconds, applied gold Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Substantial 18 carat full hunter case with ribbed middle. Both covers engraved and decorated with two rows of shamrocks in translucent green enamel. On the front cover the shield shaped cartouche engraved with a heraldic device. The back cover centered by a harp in blue and red and enamel. Maker’s mark "JD" and number corresponding to that on the movement.

A mid 19^th Century Swiss lever in a gold half hunter case bearing the coat of arms of Emperor Maximilian I of Mexico. Keyless nickelled bar movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator. Uncut bimetallic balance with spiral hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, slender Roman numerals, blue steel half hunter hands. Unusual engine turned 18 carat half hunter case. An applied unglazed chased and engraved gold chapter ring on the front cover bears the name "E Maximiliano" in place of the numerals. The back cover with an applied shield shaped gold cartouche chased and engraved with intertwined characters "MIM". Above the characters a crown. Gold cuvette with applied pierced and engraved coat of arms of Maximilian as Emperor.

Keywind Lever in Rare Cabriolet Gold Case

A large late 19^th Century lever in a rare reversible cabriolet gold hunter pair case. Keywind gilt bar movement with suspended going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator. compensation balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Club foot lever escapement, polished steel escape wheel. White enamel dial signed “BWCo”, subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, decorative gilt hands. Rare heavy 18 carat cabriolet case which can be used either as a full hunter or as an open face. The inner gold case with florally engraved back and plain middle. Wound and set through the signed gold cuvette, gold button in the pendant to open the back. This can be used on its own or placed in the three section gold outer case with either the dial or back visible. When the dial is shown the watch still appears to be a conventional open face watch with the engraved back depicting a Scottish hunting scene. Alternatively with the florally engraved back of the inner visible the watch becomes a full hunter, the button in the pendant serving to open the front cover.

Compensation balance with freesprung blue steel overcoil hairspring. English table roller lever escapement, screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel Breguet hands. Substantial plain 18 carat half hunter case with blue enamel chapter ring, ribbed middle. Clip on back engraved with a coat of arms and monogram below. Inside a dedication to their son dated May 1929, maker’s mark "RO" in an oval, and number corresponding to that on the movement.

A 19^th Century English verge in a silver half hunter pair cases. Full plate fusee movement with round pillars. Pierced and engraved round cock, polished steel regulator on top plate below the plain three arm steel balance. Half hunter style white enamel dial with two concentric chapters of Roman numerals, only the inner showing unless the front cover is opened. Gold half hunter hands. Matching silver pair cases, the inner with a broad border to the front bezel, small glazed aperture at the centre. Silver pendant and bow, maker's mark “HWG” in conjoined circles and number corresponding to that on the movement.

In excellent overall condition.
