An unusually small late 19th Century Swiss gold full hunter with double sided calendar. Keyless nickelled bar movement with frosted steel wolfs teeth winding work, going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement, escape pivots with endstones. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman and Arabic numerals, gold hands. Under the back cover on the reverse side the day – date calendar indicated by gold hands on a white enamel ring dial. Steel set lever operated by a gold pin in the band. The calendar changed automatically by a polished steel pawl on the movement. Small plain 18 carat full hunter case, an engraved dedication on the back cover.
