Description

An 18^th Century verge with polychrome enamel dial in silver gilt repousse cases.  Full plate fire gilt movement with fusee and chain, square baluster pillars.  Pierced and engraved bridge cock, silver regulator disc.  Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring.  White enamel dial with a central polychrome enamel scene depicting a couple.  Roman and Arabic numerals, arcaded minute ring, pierced gilt hands.  Silver gilt pair cases the inner with later English hallmarks and the maker's mark “TC” in a rectangle.  The silver gilt outer decorated in chased and engraved repousse work of a classical scene within a rococo border.
