Description
An 18th Century English verge with polychrome scene in silver pair cases. Full plate fire gilt movement with fusee and chain. Unusual cock pierced and engraved in a delicate radial pattern, silver regulator disc. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Convex enamel dial, central white chapter of Roman and Arabic numerals around which a polychrome enamel scene depicting hounds chasing a hare held by a man on the left carrying a hunting horn. Fine small blue steel beetle and poker hands. Matching silver pair cases, silver pendant and bow, maker's mark “TD” in a rectangle.
