Description

A late 19^th Century English karrusel in a gold open face case.  Gilt three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Gilt 52.5 minute revolving carriage.  Engraved gilt cock with diamond endstone, polished regulator, compensation balance, blue steel overcoil hairspring.  English lever escapement, screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones.   White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands.  Plain 18 carat open face case, maker's mark “PW” in an oval and number corresponding to that on the movement.
