Description

A fine early 19^th Century English cylinder in a decorative gold open face case.  Full plate gilt keywind fusee movement, engraved cock with garnet endstone, silver regulator disc.  Plain three arm polished steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring.  Polished steel cylinder, large escape wheel, pivots with endstones.  Fine engine turned gold dial, applied gold Arabic numerals on a matted ground, gold serpentine hands.  Substantial engine turned 18 carat open face case with chased and engraved bezels pendant and bow.  Reeded middle, wound through the gold cuvette, maker's mark “LC”.  Chased and engraved gold key.  In red morocco presentation box.
