A small late 18th Century Swiss virgule in a gold and enamel case.

Description
A small late 18th Century Swiss virgule in a gold and enamel case. Keywind gilt bar movement with suspended going barrel. Plain sector cock with polished steel regulator. Plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Rare virgule escapement, brass escape wheel. Engine turned gold dial with applied gold Arabic numerals, gilt hands. Small gold and enamel case, the fully restored back depicting a couple in a formal garden either side of a blue bell on which stands a gilt cupid. Wound and set through the signed and numbered gilt metal cuvette.
