Description

An early 20^th Century English freesprung lever in a gold full hunter case.  Gilt three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel.  Engraved cock with large diamond endstone. Compensation balance with freesprung blue steel overcoil hairspring.  English table roller lever escapement, screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones. Signed and numbered white enamel dial with centre seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel seconds hand, gold hands.  Very substantial plain 18 carat full hunter case.  Plain gold cuvette, maker's mark “JM” in an oval and number corresponding to that on the movement.  In a contemporary burr mahogany veneered presentation box.
