Description
An early 19th Century English verge with decorative gold dial in an engine turned gold case. Full plate fusee movement with engraved cock, diamond endstone. Steel regulator on top plate below the plain three arm steel balance. Winding through the decorative gold dial, engine turned centre, applied gold Roman numerals on a matted ground, gold hands. Single bodied engine turned 18 carat open face case with reeded bezels, middle, pendant and bow. Sprung front bezel opened by a button in the pendant, the movement hinge at nine o'clock, maker's mark “IR”.
