Description

A pair of small early 19th Century Swiss verges in gold and enamel pearl set cases in a presentation box.  Both have small full plate gilt fusee movements.  Finely pierced and engraved bridge cocks with steel coquerets, plain three arm gilt balances with blue steel spiral hairsprings.  Silver regulator dials with blue steel indicators.  The hunter cased watch with a  white enamel dial with Arabic numerals and blue steel Breguet hands.  The open face one wit a gold engine turned dial, Arabic numerals and blue steel Breguet hands.   Small gold cases with ribbed middles, the bezels set with single rows of split pearls.  The covers are all decorated with polychrome enamel scenes painted on translucent dark blue enamel over engine turned grounds and set with split pearls.  The covers fully restored apart from the front cover of the full hunter.  The pair fitted in a green velvet line case covered in faux tortoiseshell.
