Description
A late 19th Century Swiss cylinder with unusual masked dial in a silver open face case. Extensively engraved keyless gilt bar movement with going barrel. Engraved cock with polished steel regulator, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder, steel escape wheel. Unusual cream enamel dial, small white chapter ring of Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds. In the centre a polychrome floral spray, broad border overlaid by a pierced and engraved gilt mask set with coloured cabochons, pierced gilt hands. Large silver open face case, chased silver bezels, the decoratively engraved. Nickle cuvette engraved “Remontouir – Metal”.
