Description
A late 19th Century verge with polychrome enamel dial in silver pair cases. Full plate fire gilt movement with fusee and chain, round pillars. Pierced and engraved bridge cock, pierced and engraved plate for the silver regulator disc. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. White enamel dial, the centre with a polychrome enamel scene of a waterside house and ship. Roman and Arabic numerals, arcaded minute ring, pierced gilt hands. Plain silver inner case, maker's mark “IT”. Later plain silver outer case.
