Description
A late 18th Century continental verge with painted dial and unusual silver cock in a silver open face case. Full plate gilt fusee movement. Unusual silver bridge cock in the form of a double headed eagle, garnet endstone at its centre. Plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Silver regulator dial with gilt indicator. Pentagonal baluster pillars. Winding through the white enamel dial, Arabic numerals, blue steel hands. In the centre a polychrome scene of two soldiers fighting with swords. Plain silver open face case with ribbed middle marked on the back with the owners name.
