Description

A mid 19th Century Irish fusee lever in a silver open face case.  Full plate gilt keywind fusee movement with dust cover,  Harrison's maintaining power. Engraved cock with diamond endstone, plain three arm gold balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Blue steel Bosley regulator.  English table roller lever escapement. Off white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel seconds hand, gilt fleur dis lis hands. Faded engine turned silver open face case with ribbed middle, maker's mark “JD” and number corresponding to that on the movement.

John Donegan, Dublin.  Born County Fermanagh 1794, died 1862.  In business with his brother Patrick.  The case bears his mark
