Description
An early 19th Century English lever by Barwise with a black dial in a silver full hunter case. Full plate gilt keywind fusee movement with signed and numbered gilt dust cover. Engraved cock with diamond endstone, polished steel regulator the index pins acting through a slot in the table. Plain four arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder, large steel escape wheel, pivots with endstones. Unusual black enamel dial with white Roman numerals, white metal hands. Plain silver full hunter case, silver oval pendant and bow, maker's mark “RG” in a rectangle.
