Description

A late 19^th Century desk set comprising a watch, barometer and thermometer.  Large Swiss lever watch in a nickle open face case.  Keyless gilt bar movement with going barrel.  Plain cock with polished steel regulator, uncut bimetallic balance with spiral hairspring. Club foot lever escapement.  White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Substantial large plain nickle open face case, plain nickle cuvette and glazed cover to the movement.  Matching nickle cased aneroid barometer, the white enamel dial marked “Made in London”.  Rectangular desk case with easel stand to hold the watch and barometer.  Covered in black morocco and lined in green velvet.   Hallmarked pierced and engraved silver repousse mask to the front of the case with central mercury thermometer on a bone scale.
