Description

An early 18th Century English verge with glazed cock and unusual pillars in silver pair cases.  Deep full plate fire gilt movement with very unusual square and turned baluster pillars.  Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates.  Pierced and engraved winged cock with mask, the table glazed, pierced and engraved foot.  Plain steel balance, silver regulator disc.  Signed silver champleve dial, Roman and Arabic numerals, blue steel beetle and poker hands.  Later purpose made matching silver pair cases, silver pendant and bow, maker's mark “MW”.
