Description

An early 19^th Century Swiss verge with attractive three colour gold dial and pearl set case.  Full plate gilt fusee movement.  Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel endstone, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.  Silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator.  Matted gold dial with subsidiary Roman numerals around which is fine applied three colour gold foliate decoration, blue steel hands.  Gold open face drum shaped case with engine turned middle.  Pearl set bezels, engine turned back with a matted shield shaped cartouche decorated with applied three colour gold.  Small button in the pendant to open the sprung front bezel.
