Description

A late 18th Century Austrian verge in a pearl set gold and enamel consular case.  Full plate gilt fusee movement.  Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.  Silver regulator dial with gilt indicator.  Winding through the white enamel dial, Arabic numerals, decorative gold hands.  Gold and enamel consular case, the bezels set with a row of split pearls.  Translucent dark blue enamel over a gold engine turned ground decorated in gilt, green and red enamel depicting a  stag being chased by a dog and a hunter with a musket.  Sprung front bezel opened by depressing a button in the pendant.

In excellent overall condition.  Unusually made in Vienna
