Description

A 19^th Century Swiss quarter repeating cylinder with silver engine turned dial in a gold open face case.  Keywind gilt Lepine calibre movement, suspended going barrel with polished steel stopwork. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, garnet endstone.  Plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.  Polished steel cylinder, steel escape wheel.  Push pendant quarter repeating on two polished steel gongs.  Fine engine turned silver dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel Breguet hands.  Substantial engine turned 18 carat open face case with engine turned middle, maker's mark “H.B” in a diamond.  Push pendant for the quarter repeat, locking slide in the band.  Wound and set through the gilt metal cuvette.
