Description

An early 19th Century quarter repeating French verge in a gold open face case.  Full plate gilt fusee movement.  Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with polished steel endstone, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.  Silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator.  Push pendant quarter repeating on two steel gongs, the repeating mainspring under a pierced bridge and polished steel cover.  Winding through the convex white enamel dial, Arabic numerals, blue steel Breguet hands.  Plain 18 carat open face case with ribbed middle, gold push pendant and bow.  Signed and numbered sprung gilt cuvette.

In excellent overall condition, the back of much heavier gauge than usual
