Description

A late 18th Century continental calendar verge with fine polychrome enamel painted dial in a gold consular case.  Full plate gilt fusee movement.  Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.  Silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator.  Enamel dial with subsidiaries for time and date with Arabic numerals, surrounded by a very finely painted scene of an unclothed couple marking their names on a tree, gold hands.  Plain gold consular case with substantial pendant and bow.
