Description

A mid 18th Century French verge in a stone set gold and enamel consular case.  Full plate gilt fusee movement.  Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel set garnet endstone, plain three arm steel balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.  Silver regulator dial with gilt indicator.  Pentagonal baluster pillars. Winding through the fully restored signed white enamel dial, white stones set between the Roman and Arabic numerals, gilt hands.  Three colour gold consular case, oval polychrome enamel portrait of a young woman on the back, restored at the lower edge.  A row of white stones border the portrait and the front bezel.
