Description
An early 19th Century gilt metal compass. Fine white enamel dial indicating 16 cardinal points, a divided track at the edge marked in 10 degree divisions. Deep steel needle mounted on a jewelled gilt arbor. Drum shaped gilt case with oval pendant and bow. behind the pendant a small lever to lock the needle.
