Description

An early 19th Century English cylinder with fine three colour gold dial in an engine turned gold case.  Full plate gilt keywind fusee movement fixed in the case by three blue steel dog screws.  Engraved cock with large garnet endstone, plain three arm polished steel balance with blue steel spiral hairspring, gilt Bosley regulator.   Polished steel cylinder, large brass escape wheel. Fine gold dial, matted ground with applied three colour gold decoration.  Central geometric repousse decoration and applied gold Arabic numerals, fine serpentine gold hands.  Engine turned 18 carat open face case with ribbed middle.  Wound through the gold cuvette, maker’s mark “LC”.  Silver ratchet key on a short chain.
