Description
A late 18th Century French verge in a three colour gold and enamel consular case. Full plate gilt fusee movement. Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Silver regulator dial with gilt indicator. Winding through the white enamel dial, Roman and Arabic numerals, pierced and engraved gold hands. Gold consular case, scene in an oval cartouche on the back of applied three colour gold decoration. Around this a border of dark blue enamel.
