A late 18thCentury Swiss verge in a fine gold and enamel consular case set with diamonds and pearls, offering a full plate gilt fusee movement, this antique pocket watch is a sight to behold.

The bridge cock is finely pierced and engraved to form the makers name. This piece works on a three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring and has a silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator and winding through the gold engine dial with black champlevé enamel Roman numerals, and serpentine blue steel hands. The Slender gold consular case (missing a word or just a comma?) the bezels set with a row of split pearls and the back of translucent dark blue enamel over an engine turned ground centred by diamond set pierced decoration is undeniably elegant.
