Description

An early 18th Century English champleve dial verge by Lestourgeon in silver pair cases.  Deep full plate fire gilt movement with Egyptian pillars.  Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Pierced and engraved winged cock with mask, pierced and engraved foot.  Plain gilt balance, silver regulator disc. Signed silver champleve dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, fine gilt beetle and poker hands. Plain silver pair cases, split bezel to the inner, silver pendant and bow.

In excellent overall condition.  David Lestourgeon, 1681, free of the Clockmakers Company 198 - 1731.  Known for making watches to commemorate Royal events.
