Description

A collection of seven watch keys.  The earliest an 18th Century gilt metal crank with one square for winding and setting the watch, the other for adjusting the mainspring barrel tension.  The other six.  Three early 19th Century watch keys ratchet keys, one an elegant long gold key with wire wound body set with a small red stone, a simple silver ratchet key and the third later gilt key with circular open body and visible spiral spring.  Two further early 19th Century keys, one a small gold key set with a trapezoid shaped bloodstone, the other a long engraved silver key set with an oval yellow stone.  A late 19th Century gilt metal key in the form of a pistol resembling a colt revolver.
