Description

An early 19th Century verge in a rare pearl set case in the form of a lamb.  Small circular full plate gilt fusee movement.  Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.  Silver regulator dial with gilt indicator.  Wound through the restored white enamel dial, Arabic numerals, blue steel Breguet hands.  Very rare two piece case in the form of a lamb at rest in restored polychrome enamel on gold set with split pearls. The two halves of the case depict the lamb from the front and back.  Behind the lamb can be seen an upturned straw hat containing roses.  Fixed gold loop set with split pearls and small rectangular gold button to open the cover.  Fitted in a velvet lined presentation case.

A very rare subject for a form watch.
