A late 18th Century Swiss verge in gold and enamel pair cases.  Full plate gilt fusee movement.  Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.  Silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator.  Round pillars. Signed white enamel dial with Roman numerals, fine pierced gold cathedral hands. Plain gold inner, narrow rim in the middle to locate it in the outer case, gold pendant and bow.  Gold and enamel outer case, three colour gold bezels. The back decorated with a polychrome scene of a lady holding a sheaf of wheat.  Behind her a boy with a scythe harvesting, all on a translucent dark blue enamel over an engine turned ground.
