An unusual late 19th Century diamond set gold and enamel watch made for the Turkish market.  Small circular keyless gilt bar movement with going barrel.  Plain cock with polished steel regulator, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.  Polished steel cylinder, steel escape wheel. Small white enamel dial with Turkish numerals, fine gold hands. Unusual gold and enamel open face case, the broad front bezel set with diamonds and twelve rock crystal cartouches backed with red foil bearing Roman numerals.  Clip on back decorated in polychrome champleve with a green ground.  Large elaborate gold diamond set bow and pendant, the winding crown also set with diamonds.  Clip on cuvette to protect the movement.

An unusual attractive watch with both Turkish and Roman numerals.  The plate bears the ebauche maker's mark "JDXMF" indicating it was most probably finished by Jaeger LeCoultre.  In excellent overall condition.
