Description

A late 18th Century English cylinder in a diamond set gold and enamel case with matching chatelaine.  Full plate fire gilt fusee movement with gilt dust ring.  Pierced and engraved masked cock, large diamond endstone.  Engraved plate for the silver regulator disc.  Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring.  Polished steel cylinder, large brass escape wheel. Winding through the white enamel dial, Arabic numerals, fine decorative diamond set white metal hands.  Fine gold consular case, translucent dark blue enamel over an engine turned ground with a white enamel border.  The bezel and back both set with a single row of diamonds.  Applied white metal monogram on the back, also set with diamonds.  Fine matching chatelaine, the gilt clip faced with diamond set gold and champleve enamel.  One side supports the watch on a short diamond set three strand chain, spring clip with threaded safety collar.  The other a long three strand chain terminating in a diamond set gold and enamel rectangle with two gold and enamel tassels, a key and seal bearing the same initials as the watch.  Fitted in an unusual shaped red morocco covered case.
