Harrods set to host vintage Panerai watch exhibition

We have some exciting news for lovers of classic timepieces. In Londonpocket watches and wrist watches of high esteem will be displayed by Harrods as they get set to host an exhibition of modern and vintage Panerai timepieces throughout September.

The watches that visitors will be able to see on show at the Panerai boutique in the department store’s Fine Watch Room has been made up entirely by private collectors watches. The exhibition launches today (Friday 29 August) and run through until Wednesday 24 September.

Anyone attending is in for a real treat as the exhibition prepares to showcase 14 vintage watches along with a number of vintage maritime instruments produced between the 1930s and 1990s, some of which are now worth up to a cool £300,000.

A rare Radiomir California Dial 3646 from 1941 will sit next to a 1955 Panerai Luminor with an Angelus movement and a 1956 Egiziano Grosso. More recent models on show will be the 1993 Mare Nostrum, which were the inspiration for this year’s highly acclaimed Radiomir 1940 Chronographs; as well as a two Special Editions from 2002 and 2005 and a Limited Edition Paneristi watch from 2010.

The exhibition is open to the public completely free of charge, seven days a week during Harrods’ opening hours.
