A large late 18th Century Skeletonised English verge in a paste set gilt metal case. Full plate fire
gilt fusee movement with round pillars. Pierced and engraved cock, the silver regulator disc set
at the edge of the table. Finely pierced and engraved top plate and mainspring barrel cover.
Unusual contrate wheel with two sets of teeth, one set originally used to drive the centre seconds
hand. Delicate plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring, lateral steel stop lever.
Winding through the fully restored white enamel dial with centre seconds markings, Roman and
Arabic numerals, gilt beetle and poker hands. Engraved gilt metal case glazed back and front,
the bezels set with a row of red, green and white pastes.
