Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Pierced and engraved winged cock with pierced and engraved foot. Plain steel balance, silver regulator disc. Signed gilt champleve dial within an engraved gilt border, Roman and Arabic numerals, blue steel beetle and poker hands. Gilt metal consular case covered in green shagreen, gilt pique pins and circular shutter to the back.

Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. White enamel dial with polychrome scene in the centre of an angler at the river's edge, Roman and Arabic numerals, gold beetle and poker hands. Silver pair cases, silver pendant and bow. The inner case only bearing hallmarks and maker's mark "HT".

A late 18th Century Swiss verge with calender in a gold consular case. Full plate gilt fusee movement. Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator. pentagonal baluster pillars. Unusual attractive dial, the silver pierced mask set with marcasites, gilt dial plate engraved at the edge. Three small white enamel dials, the hour indicator with Roman numerals, those for the minutes and date with Arabic numerals, pierced gilt hands, blue steel calendar hand. Decoratively engraved 18 carat consular case, the bezel bordered by a band of small marcasites. Marked with crossed keys in the case.

Signed and numbered white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Unusual silver case which can be used either as a full hunter or as an open face watch. The silver centre section containing the movement pivots within the outer ring released by depressing the button in the pendant fully. Silver cuvette and back, Chinese marks on the movement and inside cover.

15 DOUBLE SIDED GOLD CALENDAR UKP 1395

A rare Swiss lever with double sided calendar in a gold full hunter case. Keyless nickelled bar movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator. Compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring, club foot lever escapement. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds and Roman numerals, blue steel hands. The phase of the moon is indicated through an aperture in the centre of the dial on a blue steel and gold disc. The other calendar indications can been seen by opening the sprung back cover. The days of the week and date shown by a single pierced gilt hand and the month in a rectangular aperture. The number of the days in each month are also given and the outer silvered ring indicating the day can be rotated by a thumb wheel to align the correct day with the date. The date is change automatically by a pawl on the movement. Plain gold full hunter case with an monogram engraved on the front cover. Depressing the winding crown will release either the front or back cover depending upon the position of the bow.

Finely painted polychrome enamel dial with a small subsidiary of Arabic numerals, gold hands. The dial depicts Father Time, holding a scythe with an hourglass at his feet, overlooking a two men in a small boat on a lake. Fully restored gold and enamel case. the bezel set with a row of small split pearls. The back depicts a woman riding in a chariot drawn by two grey horses crossing a bridge. The wheel of the chariot and the roadway are picked out in split pearls.

Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Push pendant quarter repeating on a bell in the back of the case. Signed gilt champleve dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, later blue steel beetle and poker hands. Fine gold pair cases, the inner richly pierced and engraved with foliate designs and a mask. The outer similarly pierced and engraved additionally decorated by chased and engraved repousse work. A central scene of two figures is bordered by four chased and engraved repousse busts. The pierced front bezel depicts four animals in chased and engraved repousse work.

Slide minute repeating on two polished steel gongs. Chased and engraved armorial plate over the repeating barrel. Signed white enamel dial with centre seconds flyback chronograph and subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Silver gilt full hunter case, both covers decorated with fully restored polychrome enamel scenes on a ground of translucent green enamel over engine turning. The scenes depict a Mother and child in a garden. Slide for the repeat and button for the chronograph in the band.

The winding lever protrudes through the inner dome of the case, engaging a ratchet mounted on the fusee square via a sprung pawl. The watch is wound by moving this lever backwards and forwards. The hands are set by moving a wheel at the edge of the dial. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, blue steel hands. Substantial engine turned silver open face case with ribbed middle, gold hinges. The back cover which is decorated with a vacant cartouche set within a circle is opened by depressing a button in the pendant. Maker's mark "IH" and number corresponding to that on the movement.

A nightwatchman's recording clock by Dent in a massive brass housing and leather case. Centrally mounted mainspring barrel which can only be wound when the case is unlocked. Circular paper disc marked in green showing the hours and quarter marks, around the centre "Dents portable Registering Tell Tale". Under the paper disc a carbon and second disc. Small glazed window in the cover to reveal the hour and a slot to allow an impression to be made on the disc. Substantial brass casing and leather protective pouch with apertures for the window and slot.

A 19th Century English full plate ebauche. Fusee with Harrison's left as a cone ready for cutting to suit a chain. Unfinished cock and screws. Polished and blue steel barrel setup ratchet and click. The ends of the pinions and arbors left extending through the plates ready for depthing and pivoting. The plate marked "14 x 0 J.P"

A mid 19th Century high quality Swiss independent seconds lever. Keyless nickelled bar movement with two suspended going barrels. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Red gold train wheels, fully jewelled, escape and lever pivots with endstones in gold settings. Signed white enamel dial with centre seconds, Roman numerals, gilt hands.

A 19th Century English gilt three quarter plate keywind movement with unusual visible going barrel ratchet and click. Engraved cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands.

Signed Pennlington Liverpool 18068 Circa 1860

Condition Excellent. Mainspring broken and a very small chip to the dial.

M21 SWISS LEVER with AMERICAN COMMEMORATIVE DIAL UKP 90

A 19th Century Swiss lever with an under painted glass dial commemorating the formation of the United States. Keywind gilt bar movement with suspended going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator. Uncut bimetallic balance with spiral hairspring. White enamel ring dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals. In the centre a finely under painted glass section depicting Liberty in a blue spangled dress placing a wreath on the head of a soldier carrying the stars and stripes which contains 13 stripes and 13 stars.

Condition Good, some pivots broken. The enamel dial chipped and a single crack in the glass. Lacking hands.

This was probably produced to celebrate the Centenary of the Independence.

One a gilt three quarter plate keywind movement with fusee and chain. Harrison's maintaining power. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. English table roller lever escapement. Signed and numbered white enamel dial with Roman numerals.

English table roller lever escapement, escape and lever pivots with endstones. Signed and numbered white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel seconds hand, gilt hands.
