| An early 19th Century French independent seconds cylinder in an open faced case. Unusual full plate movement with two going barrels. Signed hinged gilt dust cover. Symmetrically placed pierced and engraved round cock with garnet endstone, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel
spiral hairspring. Gilt regulator in a slot at the edge of the plate which engraved over its entire surface. Polished steel cylinder, brass escape wheel. Independent work under the dial for seconds beating centre seconds hand. Wound through the white enamel dial with centre seconds, Roman numerals, gold hands. Fitted in a later silvered plain open face case, lateral lever under the bezel to operate the independent seconds.
