under a blue steel bridge operating a visible blue steel rack. Steel alarm work, the double headed hammer striking a bell in the case, pierced and engraved resting barrel. Going and alarm trains wound through the fully restored white enamel ring dial, bold Roman numerals. Engraved gilt alarm disc, the fine blue steel pointer indicating the time on the quarter hour chapter of the enamel dial. Small blue hand showing the time the alarm will sound by
the Arabic numerals on the gilt centre. Deep silver gilt single case, silver gilt pendant and ring bow. The sides of the case with finely pierced and engraved foliate decoration. The back engraved with a coat of arms showing a hat (bonnet?) above a four wheeled carriage and the name "Charbonnet" over it.
