| A rare late 17th Century Swiss verge with changing polychrome enamel portraits under a gilt champleve dial and an enamel portrait to the cock. Deep full plate fire gilt fusee movement with Egyptian pillars, small silver regulator dial. The engraved gilt bridge cock set with a polychrome enamel portrait of
a woman on a black ground. The winding arbor set through the engraved crescent shaped border of the cock and within the rim of the large two arm steel balance. Gilt champleve dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, blue steel tulip and poker hands. Between the numerals seven and five an aperture through which can be seen a section of a polychrome enamel disc on which are depicted eight polychrome enamel portraits of men and women. The
portraits are changed by depressing and releasing the push pendant. Gilt metal consular case later covered in green leather. The back opens to reveal a large central circular aperture through with can be seen the cock, winding square and silver regulator.
