engraved plate for the silver regulator disc flanked by two lions. Large light plain steel three arm balance. Winding through the silver champleve dial, oval aperture above the twelve revealing the gilt calendar ring. Roman and Arabic numerals, decorative pierced gilt hands. Silver and tortoiseshell pair cases, inner with engraved monogram below a crown on the back dated 1788, split bezel, maker's mark "ID" in a cartouche.
Fine metal outer case, silver bezels and inlaid decoration of flowers and birds to the tortoiseshell covering.
