Index No. A8155 Gold Freesprung Keyless Fusee with Kew Certificate
A fine late 19th Century freesprung keyless fusee lever with power reserve and Kew class A certificate in a gold full hunter case.  Gilt half plate keyless movement with fusee and chain.  Harrison's maintaining power.  Plain cock with large diamond endstone.  Compensation balance employing quarter timing nuts, blue steel overcoil hairspring.  English double roller lever escapement. Screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones.  White enamel dial with subsidiaries for power reserve and  seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands.  Substantial plain 18 carat full hunter case, interesting presentation engraving on the front cover for service during two world wars.  Gold cuvette, maker's mark "AS" in an oval.
