Index No. A8247 Centre Seconds Karrusel Deck Watch
A large late 19th Century English freesprung centre seconds karrusel in a silver open face case and mahogany deck box.  Gilt half plate keyless movement with going barrel.  Gilt karrusel carriage, fine teeth at its edge, rotating once every 35 minutes.  Plain cock, garnet endstone.  Compensation balance, freesprung blue steel overcoil hairspring.  English lever escapement, screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones.   Signed white enamel centre seconds dial, Roman numerals, blue steel seconds hand, gilt hands.  Substantial plain silver open face case with gilt winding button, glazed clip on cuvette, hallmarked 1970 maker's mark "MRM" in a rectangle.  Three tier mahogany deck box with brass furniture.
