| A late 18th Century French gold and enamel watch with matching chatelaine and accessories. Full plate gilt fusee movement converted to English table roller lever escapement. Later cock with steel regulator, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Winding through the
convex white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, gilt hands. Fine consular case, the bezels set with split pearls. Gold back of dark translucent blue enamel over an engine turned ground. Gold and enamel rectangular pendant, a button in the top depressed to open the front bezel. Unusual matching chatelaine with gilt clip, the enamel circular sections with central diamonds on gold plates applied to the gilt base. The sections joined by
pierced gold chains supporting the accessories and keys. Fitted in a boxwood case lined with cream velvet and silk bearing the Russian crest.
