steel balance. Polished steel cylinder, large steel escape wheel. Winding through the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Unusual gold consular case, the outside engraved and decorated with white and dark blue translucent champleve enamel over engraving depicting two goats. Inside the bezels decoratively pierced and engraved. On the inside of the back lid a finely painted erotic scene of a partially clothed
couple. The inner back of the case glazed enabling the movement to be viewed or the erotic painting to be seen when the movement is swung out.
