| A late 18th Century Swiss quarter repeater for the Turkish market in fine three colour gold pair cases. Full plate fire gilt movement with signed and numbered gilt dust cover. Pierced and engraved cock, clear endstone in a polished steel setting, Turkish markings on the silver regulator disc.
Plain three arm gilt balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Push pendant quarter repeating on a bell in the back of the case. Signed white enamel dial with Turkish numerals, blue steel hands. Gold pair cases, the plain inner simply pierced and engraved, locating lip around the edge, gold push pendant. Fine gold outer case with applied three colour gold decoration, the back depicting a psalm tree, coconuts and an urn. The back discretely
pierced at the edge to allow the bell to sound clearly. Maker's mark "L&B" in a shield and number corresponding to that on the movement.
