single foot. Plain small gilt balance with spiral hairspring. Engraved barrel to the alarm with blue steel wheel and pinion stopwork on the top plate. Double ended steel hammer striking a bell in the back of the case. Plain silver dial with Roman numerals, central engraved gilt alarm disc with Arabic numerals, later blue steel hands. Engraved gilt dial edge with four locating tabs. Single silver case profusely pierced and engraved in a foliate
pattern. The piercing unusually carried over the back of the case depicting a dragon. Split bezel, silver ring pendant and bow, substantial cast and turned bell.
