Plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. White enamel dial signed in Turkish script with Turkish numerals, blue steel hands.  Three gilt cases, the largest covered in shagreen decorated with gilt pique pins.  Plain gilt metal inner case , maker's mark "IR" and number corresponding to that on the movement. And decoratively chased and engraved middle case, the back depicting a vase containing flowers.
SignedLe Roy Horolger du Roi a Paris   8310
Circa 1790
Diameter 54 mm
Depth11.5 mm
In excellent overall condition.  The watch appears to be of English origin, the movement similar to those supplied for the Turkish market by Markwick and Prior.  It does not have the bridge cock and screw adjustment to the escapement to be expected of a French maker.  The case also has the mark of an English casemaker.  The dial and hands however seem to be French!
