winged cock with mask at the centre, pierced and engraved foot. Small plain gilt balance, silver regulator disc. Decoratively engraved resting barrel for the alarm train, the steel hammer decorated with geometric circles as is the edge of the gilt dial plate. Silver champleve dial, rotating central disc for the alarm, Roman and Arabic numerals, blue steel beetle and poker hands. Decorative pierced and engraved silver pair cases. The inner with
split bezel and two winding apertures, one marked "W". The edge of the case engraved with birds and animals, an oval cartouche at six o'clock depicting a riverside scene. The outer case with square hinge similarly pierced and engraved and the centre of the back additionally engraved with representations of musical instruments.
