Index No. A7741 Silver Centre Seconds Deck Watch
An early 20th Century English centre seconds lever deck watch in a silver open face case and brass keep case.  Gilt three quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel, broad Ministry of Defence arrow engraved on the plate. Plain cock with garnet endstone, polished steel regulator. Compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring.  English table roller lever escapement.  Screwed in jewelling, escape and  lever pivots with endstones. Signed and numbered white enamel dial with centre seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands.  Substantial plain silver open face case, maker's mark "R&S" in a rectangle.  Circular brass deck case lined in dark blue velvet, the glazed front cover a bayonet fit with sprung lock button
